The Historic Sands Theater, Alamogordo’s silent movie house, and performance space since the 1930s is about to get a renewed life with an anticipated grand reopening in late 2022 to early 2023. With investment from the partnerships of Roadrunner Emporium and New York Art & Music this historic adobe-built temple to the arts will be revitalized into a visually attractive showcase and once again feature independent movies, foreign films, live entertainment, jazz, community productions, have a food and wine element and more.
